# Chaos Stone exp farming

I did not set this up until 3,200 zone. Lower level monsters didn't give enough xp to make it worth setting it up IMO.

Main target of this is for exp’ing 999 2nd gen units. If you go to [Data mine spreadsheet, in the Formula - FAQ tab](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e5t0CMBgw2MOv1NRE-vNk3229p7dYg6yJAQ8YbhYnWk), you will see this illustration. This is a guide on how to place your stones and surrounding it with signs.

Yellow - Chaos Stones

White - 2 empty tiles. 1 is where you deploy

Blue - Sign boards

Sign boards should cover every tile within movement range of monsters from Chaos Stones. Their purpose is to prevent movements. Monsters can still spawn anywhere within range. After a bit of time, they will start moving and have no where else to go except those empty tiles.

If you see monsters roaming outside your signs, then you're miscounting the rows to build.

The cycle goes like this.

1. Unit gets KO’d and carried back to town to hopefully recover MP.
2. Spawned monsters move to those empty tiles while unit is healing.
3. your unit goes back and AoE to take down as many monsters as possible.
4. KO'd, repeat step 1.

The most popular AoE skill here is the Myriad Arrow which, as you may have guessed, only works with bow. It’s unique in that it’s a multi-hit AoE that cost pretty low MP. Not great for PvP however because its radius is quite small.

IMO the easiest way to obtain the skill, is to breed some S/ Archers. They are born with the skill. You can use domestic S ranks from weeklies for this. Horrible affinity but doesn't really matter in this case. You don't need many. 2 or 4 will be enough. Strip their skills and turn them into shoppers.

Monk+Merchant, and Doctor+Researcher.

Alternatively, skill is also obtainable from the easiest floor of Wairo Dungeon and also a very rare drop from Legendary Cave.

**Essential skills for units exp'ing:**

* an AoE skill.
* Battle Maniac
* Facility Rec Up MP - recovering MP in this game is not guarantee. This skill increases the chance of it happening when unit is healing.

**Really good to have:**

* Perfect Dodge
* Stubborn
* EXP Up I, II, III - they stack
* Bow/Shield Resistance - for jobs that cannot equip them naturally

**For townspeople close to the setup:**

* Strategic Retreat - without it, lots of people will end up engaging while trying to pick loots.

Note. This setup only trains physical stats. HP, MP. Vigor, STR, DEF, etc. Caster jobs such as Wizard and Beast Tamer will need twice the amount of exp compare to melee jobs.
