# Copper coins!

Beating fog lv 7 gives you access to the Port. You pay food to call visitors who will buy items from your shops. Leveling up Port will make ship stays longer and spawns more visitors.

First you need to pick the town that food will be paid from. Visitors summoned can still be directed to any towns you like.

Visitors need Info Board (we just call them *signs*) to lead them to shops. Take note of the dotted lines; you need to connect that line from port to your shop’s door (or town gate). You can chain signs together if they need more distance.

Visitors will pay visit to your Monarch and pay 1 copper coin each.

They will also visit shops and we're hoping for them to clear our shops clean: giving shopkeepers chance to discover new items on top of making money.

The first time you obtain copper coins, you’ll be given a Copper Box. Beware that if you destroy it, you do not get your coins back. Unlike resource storage that will drop their content on the ground.

Guess what. Your combat units can buy from your own shops too. Generating passive income!

One big difference is that they will not clear shelves. Also, by default, they do not buy from skill shop. To get them to buy skills, they need to equip accessory.

We will take advantage of these points to specialize a town for passive income in the future. More info in [Early Copper Town](/kingdom-adventurers/early-copper-town.md).

Fog lv 7 also gives you a Paladin. You have 2 combat units now! Highly recommend you pick oppsite gender of your guard.

Guard+Paladin are good compatible pair that you can breed for stronger second generation.
