# Marriage

Our D/ fighters were able to help us clear way for 2nd town but they are hitting their limits. Stronger 2nd generation will be needed to progress. Here we'll pick a pair or 2 and walk through marrying them as on intro. For more details please refer to [Marriage tools and resources](/kingdom-adventurers/marriage-tools-and-resources.md)

Example of a B/ Knight from C parents with good affinity. Right off the bat her levels in everything already exceeded her parents at max.

Important note - Always marry same ranks!

What we need:

* Monk from fog 12 or 32
* 3rd Town hall from fog 41

The pairs I picked for this guide are units we can obtain from clearing fog below lv 50. They have good affinity and will produce offspring much stronger than themselves.

**Highly recommend**: Pirate. Numbers in \[ ] is the fog lv they are from.

C/ Pirate \[37] + Knight \[24] ⇒ Archer

When child is born and grow up, you can pick jobs from their parents, or Archer.

Pirate is my favourite. They can AoE defog revealing lots of enemies at once. Especially good when you are actively playing. You can reset fog for endless farming. Note that you will run out of fog at very, very late game.

**Some other good pairs**:

D/ Samurai \[21] + Ninja \[22] ⇒ Champion

* Champion IMO is 1 of the best class for game progression because they can use both single target skills and AoE spells. Single target skills are good for monsters on the map. AoE is great for boss and PvE. Champion can switch between the 2 to be good in both scenario.

D/ Guard \[from start] + Paladin \[7] ⇒ Entertainer

* aim for Guard or Paladin offspring

Let's get started. You want to give 1 of the parents a land and build him a Commoner's House.

Once done, you will receive a Double Bed. Place it in that house and assign his partner to it.

People sharing houses have a chance to flirt as part of their daily activity. The less things for them to do, the more chance they'll flirt. Giving the pair Domestic Production skill is a great way to reduce things they will do. This skill is available since skill shop lv 1.

Flirting have a chance to increase the pairs' affection. We can check this number by tapping the "Switch" button as shown.

As soon as a pair gains 1 affection, they will show up in list when we tap our Church. However, don't marry them yet. Diamond cost goes down the higher their affection is. Wait until 100 and it will only cost 10 Diamonds.

Unmarried pairs affection capped at 100. After marriage, they will continue flirting until they hit another cap at 200.

Once they hit 200.... nothing will happen yet. You need to place a 3rd Town hall to trigger NPC dialog. Which you'll be given a crib.

The 3rd town can be removed immediately after.

Place the crib in the pair's house and viola! A baby! Babies will be sent to Day Care where they need 3 IRL days to grow up. Once they're grown, we can pick their job and recruit to town.

After first baby is born, parents affection will uncap from 200 to 300 and will produce a 2nd offspring once their first is grown.
